Q: How do I get my event on the list?
A: We take care of everything and scrape data from various sources on the internet every day to ensure that our list is up to date. We understand that event organizers have a lot to juggle, and we want to provide a hassle-free experience. However, if we missed your event while scraping or if you want to manually suggest an event, you can send us a DM on Instagram or suggest it through our website, and we'll review it for inclusion in our listings.
Q: Where are the forest raves?
A: We do not list forest raves unless the event organizers wants to. Often the forest raves are a bit more secretive and are not always announced on social media. A good way to find out about them is to ask around in the community.
Q: Can I connect Oslo Omvendt to an AI assistant?
A: Yes! We run a free, read-only MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can query our nightlife data directly, no need for scraping or API key. Point your MCP client at the streamable-HTTP endpoint below and it gets three tools: search_events (events for a given week), get_event (full details for one event by slug), and list_venues(all venues). Then just ask it things like “what events are on in Oslo this week?”.
New to this? Hit Copy Prompt and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or your AI assistant, it'll walk through adding our server for you or some black magic stuff we don't really know.
Q: Can I scrape your data the old school way?
A: If you want to scrape the data like a caveman, then all the data is available through our open API for free. Simply do a GET request to the following URL: https://www.osloomvendt.no/api/events?year=<N>&week=<N>
